ආසියාව යනු ලෝක දැනුම් උරුමයේ මූලික පදනම් ගොඩනැගූ ශිෂ්ටාචාරයන්ගේ නිවහනයි. සියවස් ගණනාවක් පුරා විද්යාව, දර්ශනය, වෛද්ය විද්යාව සහ නවෝත්පාදන ක්ෂේත්ර තුළින් මානව ප්රගතියට අගනා දායකත්වයක් සපයමින් ආසියාව ගෝලීය සංවර්ධනයේ ප්රමුඛ බලවේගයක් වී ඇත.
